The Peoples Gas Natural Gas Savings Program offers incentives to encourage customers to make energy-efficient improvements to their homes and apartment buildings.

New equipment must be installed and old equipment removed. Only new products that meet the energy-efficiency specifications listed on the residential application qualify. Rebates may not exceed the project cost.

- Free Energy Assessments – An energy advisor will complete an onsite assessment of your property’s common areas, central plant and building shell, as well as in-unit sampling. You will receive a customized report summarizing free energy-saving installation options, upgrades, rebates and a cost-benefit analysis for future improvements.
- Free Energy-Saving Products – Through the Multi-Family Energy Jumpstart Program, owners and tenants can save energy, reduce utility costs and improve tenant retention by installing energy-efficient products, including showerheads, faucet aerators, programmable thermostats, pipe insulation and compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in each unit at absolutely no cost. This program is offered in partnership with ComEd.
- Discount Services and Project Rebates – Get discounted energy-saving services from participating contractors and rebates for upgrades.
The program is available to owners of single-family homes, two-flats and individually-metered condos and townhomes. Renters are also eligible, with permission from their landlord.
In addition to the free items below, you also can receive a $150 bonus rebate on top of the standard rebates from the Peoples Gas Home Energy Rebate Program when you install a qualifying high-efficiency furnace or boiler.

The loan is for residential customers of Peoples Gas who own a:
- Single-family home;
- Condo; or
- Multi-family building with no more than four units.
Types of furnaces that qualify:
- Natural gas furnaces with a rating of at least 92% AFUE (annual fuel utilization efficiency).
Loan details:
- No down payment required
- Loans of $500 to $20,000
- 4.99% fixed rate interest
- Terms of 3, 5 or 10 years
